Afghanistan Commando modified woodland camo bdu uniform
The Afghan Commando's are considered the elite forces of the Afghan Army, and elements of the existing ANA began training in 2007 to become commandos. Their training is meant to make them as efficient as U.S. Army Rangers. Their advisors, made up of U.S. Special Forces and other coalition forces personnel, often wear the Commando's uniform style to blend in in the field.
This uniform was worn by an U.S. Afghan Advisor recently (somewhere around 2010-2018) and has its original Afghan Commando patch on the sleeve. It was modified by stripping off the bottom pockets and adding them to the sleeves. Black velcro was added for the attachment of name tapes and patches. Although this uniform was worn by an advisor, Afghan Commandos can be seen wearing BDU's with these exact modifications along with their advisors, which is the only reason I am including it on this site.
