UAE Armed Forces M1 helmet clone with camouflage
The United Arab Emirates in the Gulf War wore a copy of the M1 helmet that is very similar to, if not the same as what the Saudi Arabian army used in the same time period. It could very well been exported by the same manufacturer from Taiwan or from China. The UAE commonly camouflaged their helmets with dark tan or brown lines spray painted on the shell and liner.
The helmet below is a great example of what they wore. They are extremely hard to come by and have a few variants, but are distinguishable by their similarities. This one is the paratrooper, or M1C version, with "A yokes" attached to the liner for adding a chincup. There are non paratrooper versions that are nearly the same, minus the A yokes. The liner itself has tan "X" style type webbing that isn't removable, and there are examples with "O" type webbing (the style of ww2 era m1 helmet liners). The color of the inside plastic can vary in color, some being orange, green, or grey.
