The Kurdish ESU was a group based out of Kirkuk that supported the Iraqi Police on high risk missions, hence the mixture of Kurdish and Iraqi patches on the uniform. The blue DPM uniform itself is very well made and is constructed from ripstop. It has been heavily modified to fit the wearer; It has been hemmed at the back, and shortened on the bottom, which also required the wearer to remove the bottom 2 pockets. The shoulder cord has unknown significance. It also came with a matching undershirt.
