Iraqi flag 1924 - 1959

The 2nd flag instituted by modern day Iraq in 1924 had a red trapezoid on the left side with 2 seven pointed white stars in the middle which represented the 2 main people of the region; the Arabs and the Kurds. Since the flag was installed by the Hashemite Dynasty in Iraq, it was very similar to the flag of Hashemite Jordan.
