Iraqi used wz 50 helmet
During the Iran-Iraq War, the Polish WZ 50 helmet was heavily used by the Iraqi military before and after the M80 came into service. Even then, the WZ 50 was seen in the Iran-Iraq War all the way up to OIF. Arguably, Polish helmets are the most commonly encountered steel helmets that Iraq used. Please note that other countries used the Polish WZ 50 and not just Iraq.
Information of note: During the later parts of the Iran-Iraq War and Desert Storm, the WZ50 and other steel helmets appeared to be used more by Iraqi anti tank troops, mechanized infantry, and artillery crews than regular infantry.

This particular helmet was captured in Desert Storm, but nothing else is known about it. The arabic writings says the soldier's name and unit. Most of these helmets that were a bringback exhibit lots of wear, especially from the sun and sand, but this one escaped such damage. The leather is surprisingly supple, which is hard to find on these helmets.
